Benjamin Miller has worked in nonprofit and charity law since 2017. He is best known for his legal education work on the Nonprofit Law Ontario project at Community Legal Education Ontario and subsequently the Ontario Nonprofit Network. He has also worked in in-house legal, charity and nonprofit policy roles for the Government of Canada and the Ontario Nonprofit Network.
Since being called to the Bar in 2021, Benjamin’s private practice experience has focused exclusively on charities and nonprofits in a boutique firm and solo practice. His work has spanned the smallest to the largest of organizations, the local to the international, and everything in between. Benjamin brings a plain language and relational approach to legal practice and has particular affinity for childcare and land trust organizations.
Benjamin has created three apps: a bylaw builder for Ontario’s Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, a policy brief builder, and a compliance review app of T3010 data.
